It was good to be Porter last week! His birthday was on Monday, the 29th. Grandpa and Mommy took him for a day of fun! First we went with Grandpa to Tooele to drop his boat off for winter storage. (To hear him talk about it, Tooele is somewhere up there with Disneyland!! Kids are the BEST!). We had lunch in Tooele then headed north to the Hill Air Force Base Museum. Last time we visted the museum Porter went nuts over the little flight suits they have in the gift shop. They did not have his size then, but I had them order it in special for his birthday. He put it on as soon as he saw it and we were off to see the airplanes!
Anyone who knows Grandpa and Mommy knows it was probably a toss up of who had much fun: Grandpa, Mommy or Porter?

They have an airplane there, "Old Shakey" as Grandpa calls it that is the very plane that my dad was a crew chief on in his younger days...He and Porter love to sit under it at the picnic tables and ponder the mysteries of the universe, or at least the mystery of how Grandpa crawled all around the big and small places to keep the engines running. He has wonderful memories of being in the Air Guard and seeing the world.

We came home and had some ice cream cake and hogies. We always go out to dinner as a family for birthdays. We'd done that the night before so we spend his actual birthday at home. On Wednesday, they celebrated his birthday at daycare. He got a cool birthday crown and picked out an "Incredible Hulk" cake to share with his daycare friends.
Saturday was his big "Transformers" party. He had fun with his friends and extended family. Gary blew up 100 balloons & put them in the living room (with the help of the air compressor).
I can't believe my little guy is growing so fast!
Happy Birthday, Porter!!

What a lucky kid. I wish I had gotten treatment like that when I was a child. Looks like he got everything he wanted.
We hope Porter had a great birthday! We are sorry we couldn't make it...but appreciate the invite! It's crazy how fast they grow. It seems like just yesterday that you and Pam had kiddos at the same time! It's insane! Why don't they stay little forever? - Teresa

Crazy to think Madi and Porter are 4 isn't it??? I'm sorry we missed the party, didn't get the invite until after, I've been meaning to call you! Glad to hear he had fun. . .they're at such a fun age!
Min, I CAN'T BELIEVE how big porter is, they grow up too fast. It makes me so sad. Mine are getting big too and I don't want them too!
He is so cute!
